A Better Starting Point
In many patent workflows, figures receive serious attention only after patent counsel begins preparing the application.

That makes it easier to annotate, rearrange, simplify, develop, and review the same visual information as the patent work progresses.
When practical, preserve the working visual instead of repeatedly reconstructing it.

The objective is not to make researchers or technology transfer professionals responsible for every patent figure.
Simple diagrams, annotations, edits, and source-material preparation may be handled close to the invention. Complex or specialized figure work can still be assigned to experienced patent drawing professionals.
