Why Maintenance Exists

The IP DaVinci Toolkit is a practical production environment: templates, stencils, and conventions that keep drawings consistent and patent-ready.

Maintenance & Support exists because real production work creates edge cases — and the system improves over time:

  • New shapes are added as common needs emerge.
  • Existing shapes are refined to be faster, more reliable, and easier to edit.
  • Users get help applying standards and the IP DaVinci method to specific figures.
  • Studio credit provides a safety valve when you need overflow capacity.

This is not a paywall. It is an optional annual plan for active users who want the system kept current.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do I need Maintenance & Support to keep using the Toolkit?
No. You keep the Starter Package and Toolkit you purchased. Maintenance & Support is optional and provides updates, drawing-system support, and an annual Studio credit.
What kinds of updates are included?
Updates include new shapes and components, refinements to existing masters, and improvements to templates and defaults based on real production needs.
What does “support” cover?
Support covers applying the IP DaVinci method to real drawing situations: structure, layout, conventions, and best practices. It is not general Microsoft Visio IT support.
Is this the same as Studio?
No. Studio is done-for-you drawing production. Maintenance & Support keeps your toolkit current and includes a Studio credit as a safety valve, but Studio work itself is separate.
I’m new — where should I start?
Start with the Starter Package. It includes Training and the Toolkit so you can adopt the system and begin producing drawings.
