Why Live

Patent figure workflows are easier to understand when you can see them happen.

A finished patent figure shows the result. A live session shows the thinking, decisions, and workflow that produced it.

IP DaVinci webinars are designed to make practical methods visible — and give participants an opportunity to connect those methods to the work they encounter themselves.

01

See the workflow

Watch patent figure methods demonstrated as a sequence of practical decisions rather than a collection of isolated commands or rules.

02

Understand the reasoning

Learn not only what to do, but why a particular approach makes figures easier to create, revise, review, and maintain.

03

Ask practical questions

Bring questions from your own patent figure work and use the live format to clarify methods, workflows, and implementation considerations.

04

Apply it to real work

Connect what you learn to the actual figures, revisions, collaboration, and capability challenges encountered in patent practice and innovation work.

The Goal

Leave with something you understand well enough to use — not simply something you watched.

01 Practical Live Session

Friday Patent Figure Workflow Lab

Practical patent figure work, demonstrated live.

The Friday Workflow Lab focuses on the work that happens between receiving source material and producing clear, editable patent figures.

Sessions explore practical workflows for creating, formalizing, annotating, revising, and managing figures — with an emphasis on methods that make future changes easier.

Typical Workflow
01 Source

Start with sketches, screenshots, photographs, PDFs, diagrams, CAD exports, or other inventor and client material.

02 Formalize

Convert source material into cleaner, structured, editable patent figures.

03 Annotate

Add and manage reference characters, labels, figure numbers, and other drawing information.

04 Revise

Respond efficiently to inventor changes, attorney revisions, prosecution needs, and later drawing updates.

What We Can Work On

Different sessions can focus on different parts of the workflow.

The Lab is designed around practical patent figure situations rather than a single fixed presentation.

01

Turning inventor sketches and source material into editable figures

02

System diagrams, flowcharts, and other structured figure types

03

Image tracing from photographs, screenshots, PDFs, and reference material

04

Reference characters, annotations, labels, and figure organization

05

Revising existing figures without unnecessarily rebuilding the drawing

06

Handling drawing changes during prosecution and collaboration

02 Organizational Session

Executive Patent Figure Webinar

Build stronger patent figure capability across your organization.

The Executive Webinar looks beyond individual drawing tasks to the systems, skills, workflows, and decisions that shape patent figure capability across a team.

Sessions are designed for leaders and professionals evaluating how patent figure work can become more consistent, editable, collaborative, and easier to manage across an organization.

Organizational Capability
01

Skills

Give attorneys, agents, support professionals, engineers, researchers, and other participants the practical knowledge needed for the patent figure work they handle.

02

Standards

Establish more consistent approaches to figure structure, formatting, annotation, revision, and reusable drawing practices.

03

Workflows

Create repeatable ways to move from inventor or client source material through preparation, review, revision, and prosecution.

04

Tools

Use editable templates, reusable components, technology, and supporting resources to make routine figure work easier to manage.

Questions We Explore

What should patent figure capability look like inside your organization?

The Executive Webinar provides a place to examine the operational questions behind better patent figure work — not just the drawing techniques.

01

Which patent figure tasks should your team be able to review, revise, or handle internally?

02

Where do drawing revisions create unnecessary delays, handoffs, or vendor dependency?

03

How can editable figure ownership improve collaboration between attorneys, inventors, engineers, and support teams?

04

What should be standardized across people, matters, teams, or departments?

05

How should training and reusable tools be introduced without disrupting existing work?

06

Where should internal capability end and specialized external support begin?

Every Live Session

Focused education designed to be useful beyond the webinar.

The subject may be practical or strategic, but the approach is the same: explain clearly, demonstrate where useful, and connect the discussion to real patent figure work.

Sessions are educational rather than sales presentations. The goal is to give participants useful ideas, methods, and perspectives they can take back to their own work or organization.

01

Live instruction

Sessions are presented live so ideas can be explained in context rather than reduced to slides or prerecorded demonstrations.

02

Practical examples

Concepts are connected to patent figure situations, workflows, decisions, and implementation examples wherever appropriate.

03

Focused topics

Each session has a defined subject so participants can choose the webinars most relevant to the work or capability they want to improve.

04

Questions & discussion

The live format provides an opportunity to ask questions and connect the session topic to practical situations participants encounter.

05

Experienced perspective

Sessions draw on decades of patent drawing experience and the practical lessons behind the IP DaVinci Patent Figure System.

06

Complimentary registration

IP DaVinci live webinars are offered as complimentary educational sessions for patent professionals and organizations.

Our Approach

Teach something useful first. If IP DaVinci can help you apply it more broadly afterward, you can explore that separately.

Who Attends

Different roles. Different needs. One shared patent figure workflow.

Patent figures connect legal, technical, and operational work — so the people who benefit from better figure capability extend well beyond the person creating the drawing.

Attend individually to improve practical skills, or bring colleagues to explore how better workflows can support a broader team or organization.

Webinar FAQ

A few things to know before you join.

The live webinar program is designed to be easy to participate in whether you're attending individually or exploring patent figure capability for an organization.

01 Is there a cost to attend?

No. IP DaVinci live webinars are complimentary educational sessions. Simply choose the session you want to attend and complete the registration.

02 Which webinar should I attend?

Choose the Friday Patent Figure Workflow Lab if you want practical instruction related to creating, formalizing, annotating, revising, or managing patent figures.

Choose the Executive Patent Figure Webinar if you're evaluating patent figure capability, standardization, training, collaboration, or implementation across a firm, department, or organization.

03 Do I need patent drawing or Visio experience?

No. You do not need to be a professional patent draftsperson or an experienced Visio user to participate.

The sessions are designed to explain the workflow and reasoning clearly enough for patent professionals, support teams, inventors, researchers, engineers, and organizational leaders to follow from their own perspective.

04 Can I ask questions during the session?

Yes. Questions are an important part of the live format. When appropriate, you can connect the session topic to practical situations you encounter in your own work.

05 Can several people from the same organization attend?

Yes. Colleagues from the same firm, company, university, or other organization are welcome to participate.

In many cases, attending together can be useful because patent figure workflows cross roles — for example attorneys and support teams, IP and engineering, or technology transfer professionals and researchers.

06 Are the webinars product demonstrations?

The webinars are educational sessions first. IP DaVinci tools, workflows, or examples may appear when they help explain the subject, but the purpose of the session is to teach something useful about patent figure work or capability.

If you want to explore the IP DaVinci Patent Figure System or organizational implementation afterward, you can do that separately.
